Not sure that's possible on a B . They needed a BTR (behind the reader) I think to work.

Does anyone have the pin out to make the yasnac 2000B tape reader to parallel port cable? My DNC software is capable of sending through my parallel port I just need the cable

I think it is possible the software just emulates the tape reader, I Dont think you can drip feed though, the BTR's are way over priced for late 70's early 80's tech they shouldn't be over $50.00 bucks and most places are wanting over $1000.00 that's ridiculous. I only gave $200.00 for the lathe. lol
I'm going to try and wire into the tape reader head light sensors with an ardunio and a 74HC595 8bit shift register, and send code to it in EIA-RS244-A binary format to make it think its reading tape in theory it should work, someone else on here made it work on an old fanuc control so I'm going to give it a shot, I just can't see giving $1000.00 + dollars for a piece of $50.00 hardware just because it hooks to a CNC
