hi, we manufacture wood for british cars, and need an insert for shift knobs, all will have the same dimensions except for internal thread. aluminum or steel, which ever is less expensive or you prefer to work with. i have a drawing i can send you, if you email firstname.lastname@example.org. would prefer u.s. as shipping gets too hi if international.
this would be a part turned from either metal, about 1" long, about 7/8ths round, kind of like a t nut, with knurled section for pressing into wood, and different threads in the shift lever hole.
once we agree on pricing, would send a sample. we are looking at 500 pieces to start. maybe too small for a shop, but ideal for a hobbyist.
