    Default milled SS castings

    Hi all,
Need pricing for machining some large sand cast stainless steel parts. These are for sculpture, not mechanical components. They are 52x52x7" High SS castings that we will provide that need about 0.125" to 0.188" machined off for smooth final finish. Castings will be approx 320lbs before machining. They will have approx. 0.375" wall thickness.

Several shape types, some need 3 axis only, others would do better with 5 axis. One shape type is a square pan, just outer 5 sides would need machining. Other shape is more rounded bowl-like, with smooth depressions on the top side. Job would hit sometime around March or April 2017 and would have about a 9 month time-frame. Approx 8 total types, 4 of each for 32 total parts.

First prototypes have required approx 2 weeks of cutting time.

Project is sensitive so NDA must be signed before releasing full RFQ package.
Please send an email if interested in taking a look at this job.

Job origin is New York State, we are willing to work with vendors in the continental U.S.

    thank you,
    Robert
