Batch of turned stainless parts, 85 pieces from 0.5" rod

This RFQ is for a batch of ten variants on a single part. The parts are to be made from precision ground 0.5" stainless steel rod.

The quantity of each variant ranges from 5 to 10 as indicated in the drawing. Total number of pieces is 85.

These parts are for resale, consistency and aesthetics are important. Please specify the equipment that you intend to use for production.

Re-ordering of these components is expected at higher quantities.

The quotes that I received over the past week were much higher than I expected.

I have revised my request to be more cost effective.
- Quantities are doubled
- Rod diameter tolerance has been increased to -.002"/+0.000"
- Any 300 series SS is acceptable

For those of you that took the time to submit a quote for my original RFQ I very much appreciate you doing so and apologize for asking for more of your time with these changes.

the problem your running into is that you want .500 +0 -.002 on an 8" pc that will be tough to hold. best bet for this material is preground 303 or 304ss. that gets expensive quick. also your part quantities are small. 10 and 20 pcs of each doesn't allow a cnc to be setup and left running for any length of time so it requires operator input. also if your hand chucking these than you will need to reset up the stop every 10 to 20 pcs.
