My shop is so small and a real vertical panel saw too expensive for me.So i m trying to build my own.
Anyone with a not too expensive way of moving the carriage by typing the value on a DRO?
I have my home made 3 axis cnc router near by.
It s using Mach 3 and gecko 540 with a spare driver, I also got a spare xylotec 425 oz in stepper from my first build.
Any input and ideas are welcome...my budget is tight
thanks

Why do you need to motorize your saw. It's easy to build a manual DIY panel saw. Even most industrial panel saws are manually operated.

Get a track saw... better dust collection, compact, no need for another fixed tool taking up floor space.
