They appear to be closed loop stepper drives, and should work with mach3 or any other step/direction controller.

where to begin.......i recently got this machine , it has been sitting in the back of a shop up here in edmonton AB since its purchase at a IRS auction in the states way back in 2013, . so first thing was to clean and rebuild. now im onto the software part. i did manage to contact the original manufacturer and got his opinion on the unit.. what im looking for is anyone with the original floppys / cd that came with any of the maxym machines, and someone to email me with a copy of them
my question today is this:
this unit has the asd16d-s and the asd20d-s closed circuit motor / drivers. Does anyone here have any knowledge on these and what motion controller works with these drivers ??
i setup a pc with mach3 and ethernet/com/parallel.
i have been looking at this:
ESS/MB2 ESS ethernet smooth stepper with BOB [ESS/MB2]
but i dont know if its compatible...
