Hi, I'm still pretty new to CNC and only been practicing cutting with MDF so I haven't really worried about my speed and feed rate to much. I just got a new 1/8 20 degree v bit (listed link) and 1/8 End Mill, and don't want to break it right away. I want to cut Oak wood witch I've learned is a hardwood. And I know if I go to fast or slow it can lose the life of the bit or burn the wood.

I have a Nextwave CNC Shake with V Carve software. I plan to cut .15" to .2" into the wood. As of right now, the 1/8 20 degree V bit is set to 12,000 RMP, 40 Feed, and 10 Plunge rate, and my 1/8 End Mill is set to 16,000 RMP, 25 Feed, and 10 Plunge rate.

I have seem speed and feed rate charts for hardwood but don't really understand what I'm reading. If anyone has some advice on the subject, I would love some feed back before I start cutting.
