    Hi Hitachi_man. please help

Hitachi Seiki HT20SII CNC Lathe (Model: HT20S)

    Problem 1. Turret fault.
The current issue is specific to the turret when calling for a tool via program or MDI. The turret will index fine manually via buttons on front control panel however, when using program of MDI, it throws the machine into an fault condition.

Problem 2 (new). "SUM CHECK ERROR: BATTERY".
We are not able to reach the error code page right now because we have a new problem with the battery. I'm not sure if this fuse related somewhere or if the battery is somewhere on the PC board. When I opened the back panel I saw a small LED code "E7 NC Emergency" I guess this is all related to the same cause.

I am grateful in advance for any help
I look forward to your replays and thank you.

    Hello,

I have a Hitachi Seiki VM 50 with Seicos 10M control.
We lost some some function in a prior parameter catastrophe and need to reinstall cutter diameter
compensation. We can insert in the tool page but it does not affect part size or length.

    Thanks for any help.

    Bob

We have a Hitachi Seiki VG55 with the Seiki-Seicos III/A control. This machine came with a Kitagawa rotary unit 4th axis and the motor is starting to fail in the unit, causing over current alarms. We need to get the motor repaired, but disconnecting the cables from the A axis causes all sorts of alarms. This, even though there is an Axis Detach signal on input X0B5 that is supposed to indicate the unit is disconnected.

If I can't disable the 4th axis the machine is going to be down for as long as it takes to get the motor pulled, repaired and reinstalled. There are some hints of possible parameters to disable the axis in the Seicos manual, but the manual is like reading old electronics service manuals for Japanese audio equipment from the 1970s. The translation leaves much to the imagination.

Any help how to disable the axis will be greatly appreciated.

    Will

Pm me your contact info and I can guide you. There will be some parameters and’s system bits that need changing to completely disable
