Did you try contacting someone at Duplomatic rep USA?

They may be able to steer you on to someone who is familiar with the Turret, This is what I did with the Baruffaldi I needed info on.

yes they provided me with a manual and offer of a new turret at $8k , no other help avail since the turret is nearly 20 years old
here is the complete manual That macoser/duplomatic provided

Well, when I get to where you are now, I start taking stuff apart and looking for suspects. Bypass the automation and apply [the correct] voltage right to the components in question and see if they actuate.
Sure enough the problem is there, you just need to poke around until you find it.
still plugging away with it, I have the entire back end of the turret apart and have been cycling it, it does all the electrical functions correctly , all the swithces motors, PLC, shot bolt, solenoid are functioning correctly .
Where I am now is the motor reverses as it should to begin the locking function but it never actualy locks . It used to make a loud clickand lift the disk in the rear that depresses the lock indicator switch and all was well.
Now when the motor reverses I dont get the click , and the disk never lifts to actuate the switch that tells the plc its done. What ever the locking device is it must be in the gear box behind the tool disk . The fellow from Macoser indicated it was some sort of over center type cam that did the mechanical locking of the turret, that fellow is no longer there and no one I have talked with recently has any exp with this turret .
The manual I have doesnt show the internal mechanism so I am unsure what the mechanical device that lock the turret is. I hope the right person reads this thread that has exp with the duplomatic turret , I am a little nervous about cracking the gearcase open .
It almost sounds like something may have worn, you may have to bite the bullet and open it up.
Just remember, if you find the problem, you will be the resident expert!.

Yep I may have to go in for open gear case surgery, I hope its notthing worn or broken , the Lathe has less than 300 hours of spindle time since new . The odd part is it was running fine on a Friday , and dead the following Monday. I hope its just something stuck , rust or dry grease .
A really nice fellow from Visimetrics , the service company for MHP when they were in business, downloaded the manual today and is going to go over it and give me a call on Mon so I will wait on his call before cracking it open
Well, if you happen to be in the right area of south central PA, I could drop in and help you tinker with it. I have some experience taking my wife's kitchen appliances apart.
btt , still down
here is the manual with all the timing information http://www.thompsonmachine.net/img/dup/duplomatic.zip
and below are links to the ladder that was written , maybe somebody here familiar with plc programming can take a look and see a problem

still in need of help if anyone can point me in the right direction
Hi
I have a duplomatic BSV-N 100 turret with eight tools.
I had the similar problem.
When I opened the gear box I found that the roller bearing (on the motor side gear in the top left corner of the housing) which rotates the disc assembly was broken and the roller were not allowing the motor to reverse and were heating up the motor.
Go ahead and disect the turret it is not complicated.
