New here, figured this would be a good place to brush-up my screw knowledge, and someone might be able assist/help identify this (ball or typical lead) screw?
In the process of compiling a list of parts to continue with the rebuild/refresh and retrofit of a recently acquired machine for the home shop. It's a 1987 South Bend Manual Knee/Turret/Vertical Mill. I know it's not a rolled ball screw as the contour is void of the emblematic "dental flossed threads" typically associated with a rolled ball screw.
Thanks,
Spear
