Inherited an old Phoenix Router and would like to try to use it with Mach3. Here's what I know of the MAE steppers...

HY = hybrid stepper low inirta
200 = steps/rev
34 = frame size 3.4"
50 = length 5"
700 = winding phase current 7A
A = Single shaft
8 = number of leads - combined in parallel to 4 wires

The router is 22000 rpms. I haven't had a chance to research the stepper drivers yet or controller yet. My goal is to mill aluminum and steel.

I found a couple old threads from 2007 but nothing current. Whats the cheapest way to get this router going, a breakout board/which one? If you were going to replace the power supply/steppers/drivers/controller with something new (but cheap) what would you go with? Thanks for the input.

Kenny
