I have an old 55 ton Niagara brake press, it has no back gauge we only form parts in it in fixtures, it has been a work horse for many years. Over the past couple years it has been coming down unevenly, it drops on the right before the left (facing machine). Earlier this week it stopped dropping on the left altogether, it will start down on the right and keep going until it hits the limit switch and I have to reset it. I tore the leveling valve apart and all looks fine in there. I can release the pressure on the left to get it to drop and hit ram up and it will raise but sticks going back down. I don't know what else could cause this. I have tried calling support numerous times and I never get a call back. Does anyone have any knowledge of these machines or know someone who does? Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

John
