The question of the day here in the shop is, "Are there any AMERICAN made machine tools capable of turning, milling, gear cutting, etc. Does not have to be all in one solution. We see the heavy German, Korean, Japanese, Chinese presence in this industry. Just wondering whats available that is made here, serviced here, and support is here?
I suppose the question is define American made. Maybe haas? Which I'm guessing has foreign made components. But they design assemble and have parts and service here.
I would venture to say this is true. I can understand electrical components made overseas. To expand on the initial topic a little further, "what machine tool has the most american made components, with service, training, manuals, major components all being derived from the US"?
