    Default Cross Slide Vise Recommendation

I'd like to get a recommendation for a medium quality 5" cross slide vise to use with my drill press for about $ 100. Most of the Asian units I've seen are low quality with a lot of back-lash in the slide advances. The vise should have about a 6 " throat opening, long. travel of 6", a cross travel of 5" and the re-zeroing dials on the advances graduated in .001".

    Thanks

Unfortunately, I havent' seen many good cross slide vises. All that I've seen are cheap (but not necessarily inexpensive).

You might do well to buy a good X-Y table with T-Slots and attach a good drill-press vise to it.
