Hi all,
We just bought this little antique hardinge mill for use cutting up tube parts. With it, that we didn't need was a set of small collets and one collet holder for them. Times being what they are, I turned the 5c shank off the collet holder to make it usable on the turret in a haas sl-30. It works so well I'd like to turn or buy a couple of new holders but I can't find this collet size anywhere. They measure 1.061" long with a 20 degree included angle .703 long on the back and a 40.02 degree nose. They are similar to an ER collet but the angles are different and they don't have the groove like an ER. I have plenty of collets in the range I need but don't want to take the time to make holder if I can't replace collets when someone smooshes or loses them. Anyone ever seen a collet like that or have any idea what series it is, or was
