If you get any version of VisualMill, Mecsoft will configure a post-processor for free, if your machine isn't already on the list of posts https://mecsoft.com/downloadposts/ (I'm not seeing one for the Rover). All you need to supply is a sample of G-code that works on your machine; they'll do the rest. And if you want a discount on the software, let me know.

I'd check out one of the cabinetmaking or woodworking CAM products... IIRC Biesse has some crazy g-code language...

What are you using the machine for? That has a lot to do with what software you use.

What problems do you have with the original software supplied with the machine?

I do a lot of work with a shop that uses TopSolid. They have a couple seats, and about $40K into it.

    Hey,

its a 5 axis machine and its quite difficult for me to program 3D drawings and angle cuts.
For now i'm using it to cut some complex cuts for ridge beams and trusses. But in general i'll be doing windows and doors.

There's no such thing as "simple" 5 axis software.

My suggestion would be MasterCAM Router or AlphaCAM Router.

The software that came with the machine is biesseworks.
Its quite tricky to do 3D drawings in biesseworks.

Hi, Have you talked to BiesseUK about the software?

They could help, even upgrade your machine to the newer bSolid software now being shipped with their machines.
