    Question Converting PCB to GCODE

    Hi

I built a pen plotter with Arduino. The Arduino is running GRBL as the interpreter and I want to plot my PCBs with this machine. I have tried many things but nothing seems to work as I expect.

First, I tried FlatCAM but it did not give the result I wanted. As you might know, it is designed for PCB Milling and I couldn't get it to give me a single path for my traces instead of drawing around the traces.

Then I tried hp2xx but the problem is almost the same, for each trace, the produced path is multiple passes of the pen no matter what I specify in the pen size options. Also, after conversion to gcode, it gives me a warning: Pensize ignored!

I tried other tutorials but I can't find a simple solution to this.

    Any help is highly appreciated.

Default Re: Converting PCB to GCODE

    Hi,
I use Eagle to draw boards and then use pcb-gcode User Language Program to generate the Gcode.
It offers the possibility to draw just one outline of the traces.
