Default Driver/Info for Teksoft ProCam II/2006

Our engineers have been using Teksoft ProCam II/2006 on Windows XP. I have upgraded them to Windows 7 Pro. Is there a driver for ProCam for Windows 7? Is the company still in business? If not, should I run the program in Windows XP Compatibility Mode? How do I get the Windows XP driver and software installed in that mode, if that's possible?

Thanks for any help you can give me on this!

No, I didn't get it installed in Windows 7. I had to install in Windows XP virtual mode inside of Windows 7.

Default ProCam II in Windows 7

    Thanks. Does it work OK?
I need to upgrade PC's and unfortunately nobody supports XP anymore, which is a pity because in my opinion it's the most stable Windows ever.

I have customer who is looking to do the same. As far as running this in Windows 7, I'm assuming the parallel port dongle worked ok as well or are you using another method ?

Default Teksoft is still in business...

Teksoft is still in business however they are dumping their ProcamII and replacing it with Camworks... Expect any support to go down the tubes for ProcamII. It's a shame in my book because Camworks requires Solidworks and ProcamII is an all in one source for Cad & Cam...
Bottom line is it allows Teksoft to develope new cam processes on someone else's platform.

    Default ProCam Windows 7

Yes they are making it necessary to 'upgrade' to CamWorks at huge expense (here in South Africa certainly) I may look at MasterCam.
I got ProCam to run on Windows 7 64bit, but had to buy a USB dongle because my PC motherboard has no PCI slots to fit a parallel port.
    It's working fine now.

We just updated our computers to windows 7 from xp. The program seems to be working, the only major flaw I have found so far is that you cant open a file by navigating to the folder and clicking on it. Instead, you have to open it from within procam.

If you try by clicking on the file it gives you this error:

"CAD2DWIN.EXE - Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point GetIsConnected cound not be located
in the dynamic link library accessdb.dll"

I tried messing around with the 'accessdb.dll' file by putting it in differnt system dirctectorys, but couldnt come up with a solution.

I am an experienced ProCAD dealer (or "X" dealer). We still have many TekSoft customers using the software.

    Main Points:

ProCAD/CAM runs fine in Windows 7. If you are having any problems, run the compatability function in Win7. It will recommend XP service pack 2. Accept that and it should run fine.

On some computers on a LAN, TekSoft needs to be loaded while not connect to the network. That should allow you to open a TekSoft file by clicking on it.

I don't think they allow me to list a web site here but...
The driver for the secrity key can be found at safenet-inc

We still provide support and post processors to our customers (INDSCO).

    Hi Rod,

I only work with .dxf files on our system because all our customers and clients do. But ive since found out that you can open .Prt files by clicking on them but its different if i try and open a .dxf file by clicking on it (As stated before, this is only since we upgraded to windows 7). Currently I can only open .dxf files from within the program, which becomes very tedious.

Seems they list only newer usb dongel drivers.
Is it possible to have a direct website for that driver.
My dongel is an old style parallel port version and I hope win7 will load the old parallel port dongel driver?
