Hey All, Mike & I were emailing and he asked if the UHU.HP PCB's were universal in their application. the following is how I answered. If anyone has other opinions or knowledge please feel free to jump in here.............. Mike, the UHU.HP PCB's were designed specifiably for 90 vdc to 180vdc. the two parts lists are variations of normal current draw. under 11amps normal current & aboue11amps. both boards top out at around 24amps. one of the cnc'er on list has changed the MOFSETS & timing components and seems to have upped the voltage to 200vdc. I don't know if theres a increase in amps with the changes ?. H.O. Please jump in here especially if I'm wrong ...... as far as using the UHU.HP's under 80vdc, I just don't know. I would think it would be ok. Has anybody out there done or is doing it ? Paul |

You are right, it is OK to use it under 80 Volts. My early tests were done at 24 and 35 Vdc. Best regards, Kreutz. |

| Hi, I seem to remember Kreutz saying that the inductors in the output filters saturates at ~25A or there abouts. So although it seems possible to increase the voltage beyond 180V by changing the MOSFETS and raising the deadtime the current capacity of the drive will still be around 25A max. (Please correct me if I'm wrong Kreutz.) /Henrik. By the way, haven't seen you around in a while Kreutz, nice to hear from you! |

You are right; Maximum current should be kept under 25 Amps. I have been very busy working on my new business venture. There have been no free time for hobbies... ![]() Best regards, Kreutz. |
