Hi, Ive been doing some small tests with my UHU boards in regards to the current limiter. I know for a fact that one of my motors has a stall current of 7 amps at 24V. I figured 5 amps current limiting would be nice here but measured stall current with the limiter at 5 amps is only about 1,7 amps or so. So i suppose the currentlimiter operates with peak currents and not RMS current. If a want the RMS current at 5 amps the peak current will be moore than the stall current, does this matter? Where should i place the currentlimiter? On my big 140V motor i placed the current limiter so that my measured amperage is about 1,5 amps, ( its rated 1 amps continous). when doing the math on the voltage over R16 the actual set current limitation is at 4,5 amps. regards Chris |
