Can disc servo motors be controlled with the standard UHU servo controller ?
Has anyone done this ?

I thought disc servo motor where somehow different in ampere usage.
Some thing like a much higher start current, which needs a special controller ??

I have a nice axem F12M4 250 watt disc servo motor.
Would be very nice if it safely could be used with a UHU servo controller.

i didnt know they use different starts and such. thank you for that information. do you know what controller can control them? i still hope the UHU servo controller can work because this controller looks very interesting.

I did not give you information.
I asked a question.
Can a disc rotor motor be used with the UHU ?
Has anyone done it successfully ?

I've been told that disc motors (AKA pancake motors) have a low inductance and therefore don't work on most drives.
They need a inductor in serie with the motor.
Can't find a quick google response now but I did in the past.

If they will work, I have three new UHU drives I will let go for $250USD plus shipping. They will safely handle 80v and 20A. I paid much more but going in a different direction. They come with finned heat sinks already installed.
