| Problems with 3D dynamic Toolpah Verification In NX5, I had a file that was created on a Dell 490. I was switched to a Dell 5400 with a fresh install of NX5. I would assume that this is a newer version of NX5 (NX 5.0.6.3) than the one installed originally on the 490. The first thing I did with my new PC was run a 3D dynamic tool-path on one of my recently complete complex parts to see if there was a substantial time improvement. The ipw that was output and saved while working on the 490 is the brown model. Please note that I originally did not bother to simulate the concave "cup" portion of the model. This is the exact state the file was left in prior to switching to the 5400. So upon receiving the 5400 I opened the file, ran the same exact 3D Dynamic toolpath simulation (note: while also allowing the “cup” to run) and the green model is the result. ![]() It appears that the tools were losing their Z axis locations and possible approaching from the wrong vectors. This program has been ran on the machine and none of the problems that appeared in the green model actually exist. So my question is, is there some sort of setting that needs to be changed for 3+2 axis milling simulation, is it a version glitch or is this a graphics card issue? Or am I simply losing my mind! ...hehe ![]() This has been a very powerful tool for me so I'm really hoping for the best. Thanks Mongo |

| Check on GTAC and see if you have the correct graphics driver.

| Our IT guy downloaded what he thought was the latest Certified NX driver and it gave us an install error, however the latest WHQL driver loaded, with no improvement. I'll take a crack at revisiting this. Thanks John |
