Dear All, I dont know this is possible or not by customisation. If not then I would like to tickle Siemens as a UG wish. In CAM module of NX4 i noticed that upon Generation it adds an object attribute "Generated_ON" to that operation and the value being your system time. My intention was whether is it possible to customise so that it adds more attributes and updates the values on each re-generation. So that I can fetch that latest value onto my nc file/shopdoc. Example1. :Last_Range and the value being the lowest Zvalue of that operation. Regards,

| With Siemens having already released NX6 you will never get them to add anything to NX4. The lowest Z in the toolpath can be done from the post processor by checking the value of the Z for each operation.

Thanks John, Briggs, John, I already have a custom command in my post which can output the Z-max value at the end of nc file. But I wanted to fetch that info onto my shopdoc. All i want is to inform the night shift machine operator on one sheet of paper to collect the relevent tools(lengthwise) from the tool stores. Rightnow the operator opens every nc file and get the information, i just wanted to make it more easy and fool proof. Briggs, If you right click on an operation(cavitymill or zlevel) and goto information at the end of the page it gives the cut level ranges. The last range MCS value is the value what i want to output on my shopdoc. Regards, Ananth
