Need Help!- assembly in nx-6

I am playing with nx-6 assembly but I am unable to assemble parts properly, how can we see/delete/on-off the added constrains like nx-4,before that I was using nx-4.

In NX5 there was a change to the assembly proceedures. My best advice is spend 30 minutes with UG Cast on assemblies. This will explain the new functionality and where everything is located.

Hi, we just made the switch to NX6 (from 5). I'm not sure about NX4, but you can switch back to the "Mating Conditions" you see in version 5 by selecting the following from the top menu bar in NX:
-Preferences
-Assemblies

-In the "Assembly Preferences" box that pops up, in the bottom
pulldown box called "Interactions" you can select between "Assembly
Constraints" (new) and "Mating Conditions" (old).

I have not figured out how to keep theese settings when you exit out and come back into NX, so I have to remember to set it every time.

You can set the preference under the customer defaults
File - Utilities - customer defaults

Select the Assemblies section - Extras - You can use assembly constraints or Mating Conditions. I would suggest using Assembly constraints. You can convert your existing assemblly mating conditions to assembly constraints. they are not hard to use.

The best way to see the constraints is 1. Make sure the constraints display option is active on the assembly navigator. Right click in an empty area of the Assy Navigator and make sure the Include Constraints option is active. 2. When you select a component and want to see it's constraints expand the dependencies panel at the bottom of the navigator and click on details, the magnifying glass.
