copy the CAM operation in NX

Please advise how to copy the CAM operations from one file to another file. Thanks

Select the operation(s) you want to Copy from one part and right click to copy.

Open the other part. Set the operation navigator to the geometry view. Select the parent geometry for the operations you had copied and select "Past Inside"

As a minimum select the MCS object from the operation navigator. As far as I know Geometry objects are the only valid "parent" objects you can paste operations into from one part to another.

In NX8, you can copy/paste in all views, and select groups. The rules for collecting children are the same as templates - geometry and program groups will take the children with them, programs and methods will not.

For example, copy a carrier/turret from one part and paste in another, and you have the whole rack of tools ready to go.

Don't forget - the units must match.
