| I don't recall seeing overlap in a contour operation. However, if your floor is a flat, planar surface then you could use z-level profile, face milling or planar milling, which all have overlap capabilities. I tend use contour milling only on 3-d geometry and use the other operations where 2.5d cutting work fine.

| It depends on the Drive Method- When using a boundary drive method you can select a cut region start point to indicate where you would like to tool to engage into the cut. With other drive methods it will depend on the geometry, however if you define a "Start Point" under the avoidance tab that does not necessarly mean the cut path will start relative to the start point. You may need to modify the drive geometry to force teh tool to start is a particular area.
