| I'm not sure if there is a way to plot a hidden line wireframe from the graphics window. There are nice tools to generate various shaded images but I think if you want a simple hidden line view you should just go into drafting and make your views. Besides, then you will be able to select hidden or dashed hidden lines as well.

| Thanks for the reply - I am trying to plot from the modelling platform because I need a custom view (i.e. not orthogonal, not isometric, and not trimetric) - say 5°X, 7°Y, 0°Z. Anyone know how I can obtain such a view in the drawing platform? I imagine I could rotate the model, but I'd like a more elegant solution (i.e. I'd like to rotate the view). Thanks |

I always create my own flavor of iso view in my drawings, iso and tri just don't show what I need. I have the save view button in one of my custom tool bars of frequently used functions.

| When you click on base view (insert, view, base. It's also in the drawing toolbar I believe) in the middle of the dialog there is Model View, Model View to Use. When you click on it you should see all the default views as well as the views you have created.

| You're very welcome. I hope I wasn't too cryptic describing the menu picks. By the way, you might want to look into making your own custom toolbars with your commonly used functions. I used to alter the default toolbars but got in a bit of trouble when I couldn't find things that were supposed to be in certain places. Now I create my own toolbars but I can always go back to the defaults if I ever need to. The Command Finder in the standard toolbar is very handy if you know the name of what you're looking for. If you like, send me a private message and I can email you some jpg's of what my interface looks like and what type of work I do with it.
