Save IPW of 1 op to be used as blank for next op

    Please help.

How to save dynamic verified part as IPW of a operation.
Then use the saved IPW above as blank for the next operation.

This task is easy in MasterCam, but I don't know how to do it in UG.

When you use the verify either the 2-d or 3-d options there is a setting to save the in process model.

You can save it as part of the current model or into it's own file.

Assuming you are not verifying an existing nc file you can use an IPW from within the cavity mill operation that will be used by subsequent cavity mill, corner rough, rest mill, plunge and fixed contour operations. It's under cutting parameters-containment-in process workpiece. There you have an option to use 2-d or 3-d ipw. Both are internally stored but 3-d is a facet representation. 3-d is used if you are doing multiple setups on a part and need to use an ipw in various setups. Fixed contour and plunge can only use 3-d ipw, not 2-d.

If you need to import a facet model into another system then you have to use verify-3d. At the end of the verification hit the create button to make a facet model you can then export to a file.
