Do you mean a Block in Modeling or a Block of information in a NC Program? Please be more specific.

camster, I mean a block feature in modeling. Now I extrude my sketch model with solid body. But I'm trying to find a way to use a block feature within the constraints of my sketch.

Keep in mind that a Block is a "Primitive" feature. Unlike other features such as a boss or a pad. I would recommend using a Pad feature instead of a block. You can attach the pad to the extruded feature of the sketch and when you make changes to the sketch the pad will move with the extrusion. A block will not move with the extrusion as it is not positioned using a positioning constraint or aligned with a refrence to the extrusion.

Tnx for the tip camster. Indead it's a primitive feature in modeling. When to use a block then? If u want to model without sketching?

You can use a primitive feature, Block, Cylinder, Cone as the 1st feature. For example create a block and then add a sketch and extrusion to the block. The sketch will be associative to the block and be positioned relative to it. When you change the block the skech will move. The order of the features is important. I was always taught not to have more than one "Primitive" im the part model. Frankily I hardly ever use them as it is so easy to create a quick rectangular sketch if that is my initial shape.

I learn so much here. My teaching was only in electronics. But now I want to develop my mechanical skills.

I'm completely lost in the pad feature. I can't seem to let my sketched lines follow a rectangular pad?
