Hi please can anyone help? I have some training coming but cant wait and want to play. all the tool paths that I post are missing cutter comp.(g41/g42) what am I doing wrong? do I need to use tracking points in tool setup? How? Last edited by seven3; 01-25-2011 at 03:04 PM. |

| On the Non-Cutting moves dialog click the More tab and activate the Cutter Comp. It depends on how you intend to use cutter comp if you need to use the tracking point. When you are using the system as designed, meaning you specify the tool size in NX and at the machine the value in the cutter comp is the diference between the programmed size and the actual measured size of the tool, usually a small value then you don't need thetracking point. It is at the tip and center of the tool. If you intend on entering the size of the tool at the machine in the comp table then you will need to use the tracking point at the tool diameter. Not my personal choice.
