    Question need help....

    hi to all, im a newbie here and i need some of your help, i am using UGNX6 CAM, my problem is, i want to start my tool at 10mm or 20mm above my blank but when i post my process my first tool start at 0mm on the top of my blank but all the next tools are starting at 10mm above my blank. is it my postprocessor the problem or my MCS setting? thanks in advance....

    What type of operation are you using?

    Have you verified the first tool starts 10 mm above the blank?

    Check your non-cutting moves

    tool starting position

    thanks for the reply, i am using cavity mill operation then the rest are fix contour, yes i verified my operation and they were all start at 10mm above the blank, but when i start to post my job the first tool is always starting at 0mm above the blank, but at the end of my post it goes to 10mm above the blank..thats why i always editing my post to put 10mm at starting z level of my first tool..thanks

    Then I would say it is a problem with the post. Are you using a UG post or some other method?

    thanks camster, i am using UG post builder, i think the problem is on my post processor, thanks for the time..
