Openmind??? Does anyone have an opinion on NX vs Hypermill? They both claim to be awesome. Some people think NX is difficult to learn, others seem to think openmind is overpriced. Anyone familiar with both? |

Both packages are quite strong, but my money would go to hyperMILL. I have found UG/NX people tend to be engineering heavy/ weak on understanding of how real machines and real parts work. For 5 axis simultaneous, I believe you will be much more impressed with hyperMILL. I don't know about cost differences, but if you are doing high end work with expensive machines, the cost difference between a good product and a great product is irrelevant. |
