Editing a named spline using a macro?

Hi,

I have UG NX6. I also have a spline, with a name. I can edit its points (edit->curve) and use a file with new points to redefine it. But I cannot make a macro which records these actions, and plays them back, because the macro pick the spline not based on its name, but rather on screen position (mouse). So that won't hardly ever work. How do I get the macro language to pick by name, not mouse cursor position?
