I have Mach3 and Mach4 along with the eth-SS but after reading so much about uccnc and Ger21's post on various forums I took the plunge for Uccnc and the UB1-300eth, should be here tomorrow I can't wait.

    Hi Guys,

I think you guys get it in the same day but different geographic time zone.
New Zealand come first in the list. About 8 people have to wait about 2 weeks time with snail mail delivery.

I'd like to see them installed and run on the real machine, really want know how it performs and the feed back from you guys.

Thank you for all your supports.

    Weerasak.

Looks like Fedex may have dropped the ball on mine, unless it shows up in the next 30 minutes (7:00 PM)
This morning, it still said delivered by 10:30, then changed to today, which it still says.
But the tracking history says it went from Thailand, to Alaska, then Taiwan. And it still says Alaska.....

    Well, that sucks.
My UB1 went from Thailand, to Alaska.
    Then, from Alaska, to Taiwan.
Then from Taiwan, back to Alaska, where it apparently just left, when it was supposed to be here this morning.
So maybe I'll get it sometime tomorrow, as it's probably a 6+ hour flight from Alaska?

Hi Ger21 you're not alone! I called them because mine said the same thing, its still in Alaska, it shows up odd because of the time diff, any way when I called they said they would have one of their tracking people get on it, they called me back and the investigator explained about the time difference and said, so its some type of circuit board? and I explained what it was and they said that I should have it tomorrow. So I'm sure that's what happened to you as well.

Well, mine was delivered safe and on time

I posted the following on the cncdrive forum

first impressions are a very neat and well made board.

I am not posting any specific parameters as the manual will no doubt provide switching current limitations etc.

the 3 onboard relays seem quite fast switching time (sub 1msec operate & release)
    https://www.fujitsu.com/downloads/MI.../relays/sy.pdf

And the (standard inputs / outputs [i.e. non motion control!! / step + direct]) optoisolators appear to be TLP185, which are fast, have good voltage rating (24V well in their parameters) and good package power dissipation relative to others on the market.
    http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/1646144.pdf

I await a suiable daughterboard (neatest option seems to be the CNC4PC C10S which is 26PIN IDE <> IDE plugin compatable..... unfortunatly only 5V rated from what I can see.
Note: they do an non "S" variant although this will require a LPT connector, IE not as compact and has screw terminals where as the "S" has the IDE connector or LPT and push in terminals (same as the UB1)
    https://cnc4pc.com/c10s-bi-direction...face-card.html

I will have mine installed in the next week.
I'll do a grabcad model of it first for the mounting holes etc
    Similar to this

Congrats Robert on getting yours, mine is slated for 1030am today but I'll be at work, it makes you feel like a kid waiting for a new toy...lol. In reality I still have a few days left on my machine build so it doesn't really matter. Thanks and look forward to your feedback.

Yeah, nobody home at my house either, and they didn't leave it. I called Fedex and had them hold it for pickup, but I won't be able to get it until after work tomorrow.

I wired it up today and did some quick testing. Everything works great.
I also updated my 2017 screen to support the UB1, but it requires a yet to be released version of UCCNC.
I'm hoping to get a DMM servo running this week. Spent an hour tonight soldering up a DB25 cable. I'll be getting a new soldering iron soon, after that.....

Looks nice. I want one but I'm too far along with the MB2 to change hings up. I might upgrade my friend's router though...

    Hi Gerry,

How does one get updates for the Screenset?

I send out emails whenever I release an update. I haven't sent an email about this version yet, because the version of UCCNC that it requires has not been released.
If you haven't received any email updates from me, send me an email and I'll check my address book.

    Thanks Gerry,
I figured it would be something simple as that.

I wired mine up to my test board and tested most of the functions, and everything works as advertised.
Analog inputs with pots for FRO and SO.
Charge pump. I have the charge pump output activating a relay, which controls power to a PILZ safety relay. The safety relay controls a contactor to enable the servo drive power, so the servos can't be powered up until the charge pump comes on. Estop kills power to the safety relay, and power to the servo drives.
I'll probably use the UB1 safety circuit for the fault signals from the servo drives.
Inputs and outputs work as advertised.
    On board relays work fine.
I basically just swapped the wires from the MB2 to the UB1. Quick and easy..

Much cleaner installation than the MB2.
The UB1 is definitely the way to go if you're buying a UC300ETH.

    Hello Gerry,
Is it good to use with Gecko G 320 X with UB1 and UC300ETH?

Any step/direction drives should work fine with the UB1.
