then when moving across to the workpiece, Z slowly moves down on a slope towards the work.
Once it raises up to Safe Z, the macro ends, and your g-code takes over from there. So it's moving to the location in your g-code after the tool change.

It's a little different from the 2010 Screenset, which returned to it's previous position.

Okay, then everything is as it should be.
Although, I can see me taking out a toolbit/hold down with this...
Thanks for finding/removing the unsupported code.

Okay, now I'd like to figure this one out.
I've notices this in all the files I've loaded with UCCNC.
And I don't know whats causing it.
    - The rapid move line in the top center.
    - With all the code I've run, the machine never traveled off on that move.

Project origin is in the center of the project.
Machine currently at my probe/toolchange location (Yellow dot)

I'd need a better picture and the g-code to tell you what it is.

    Hi again

I tried to upload a better picture, but its getting truncated.
(And dropbox wont show it either... LOL)

Ultimately, its showing a rapid move (The red line running up from the center)
Out of all the trial cuts I've done so far, it has never traveled that move.

If you go back to page 11, there is the original test gcode... its there too. Post #11
And in the video I posted as well.

Alright, I've narrowed it down to my post processor.
With Mach3, I had the machine return to my tool change position at the very end of the file.

Even through the code is there, the machine does not follow that code, but still returns to the tool change position.

I'll play with the PostP and remove that code.

At the complete of the file, I would still like the machine to return to the tool change location.

    Perfect! Awesome
    Just about there! LOL

One more thing I would like (okay, maybe two?)

Remember how after a tool change, the machine slopes down towards the workpiece?

After the tool touches down for the autozero, it lifts to safeZ. then starts the spindle, then moves (sloping down) towards the work.

The sequence I would like to see, after the machine touchs down and moves to SafeZ, is it to stay at safeZ, move to the last XY co-ords, turn the spindle on, then proceed with the cutting.
Possible with editing the PostP a little more?

    Learning as I'm playing...

I tried adding "[N] G53 G0 z0" after the "M5" under the toolchange, but didn't seem to work.

    Okay!! I got it

    +---------------------------------------------------
+ Commands output for a new segment - toolpath
+ with same toolnumber but maybe different feedrates
    +---------------------------------------------------

    begin NEW_SEGMENT

"[N] G54 G0 X0 Y0" <-- I added this code, and now it moves to the project XY origin, starts spindle, then proceeds with cut.
    "[N] [S]M3"
    "([TOOLPATH_NAME])"
    "([TOOLPATH_NOTES])"

    -----

Now the machine does not slope down towards the workpiece after the tool change.
I think this is MUCH safer.

    YEAY!
K, now I think I can go comfortable cut something!
(But only after another test to make sure!)

P.S. With all the testing I have done, I have not lost a single step like I was with the parallel port card.
Pretty happy with the change over to UCCNC!

If your bored, here is the final test video of the full rundown.
Again, nothing special about the video...

I have the EXACT same functionality as I had in Mach3, only with faster speeds, quieter(cooler) motors.
And best of all, NO MORE PARALLEL PORT CARD! (and lost steps that came with it.

A few hick-ups, but the transition has been great!
