If by mini laptop you mean a netbook then I wouldn't try it.

    (Link)
    Recommended System Requirements for installation:
    • 1.4 GHz processor or Higher
    • 512 Megs of Ram or Higher
    • 60 Megs Available of free hard drive space or Higher
    • Windows 2000 or XP.
128 MB Video Graphic Card or Higher

Problem area listed in bold. It would probably run it as it meets the minimum specs. But it would do so poorly due to integrated intel graphics. Keep in mind though that this is coming from someone has never used the program. It could be integrated graphics would work just fine but the fact that they list a 128mb card makes me think that you might run into issues. The only netbook I might try would be the S12 with the new ION chip coming out from Lenovo but it looks like it has been pushed back to September or October. That may even have issues though as 1.4Ghz is pretty close to the atoms and since they are "in order" processors they may not be able to handle the load as well depending demands made by bobcad.

As to why it won't let you load it into another system I have no idea. If you have a hard lock version, did you remember to put the dongle into the new system?
