Chris,
If you have the old one, it will import and be re-written to the new version.
My machine has been in parts for the last couple of years due to a move and a rebuild of the Y axis.
I'm finally to the point of having it running again.Pictures will follow soon.
I was last running TCNC 3.24 which is still OK but I am going to switch over to 4.1 after everything is back as it was.
So, my question is; can I use the old turbocnc.ini file from 3.24 or do I need to set it up new in 4.1?
It would probably do me some good anyways to have to set it up, so as to refamiliarize myself with it again.
Thanks,
Chris

Bubba,
Good, that will make it easier.
I was studying the old .ini file and noticed that it had some settings that in the end seem to work out but were essentially incorrect.
I have 1/2"-10 leadscrews and a half step controller for motors w/ 200 full steps (so, 400 actual steps).
The 3.24 .ini file has it as 200 full steps and a 20 tpi lead screw. In the end that works out and the machine moves properly.
Was that my mistake in the origional entry or is that the way Tcnc figures it out?
Chris
Chris,
I am not sure, but then as they say: "The proof is in the pudding". Who cares as long as it works as intended? :})
