    Z-axis

    Hi,
I got my x and y axis to work great, and my z was working great. I didn't make any changes that I know of to the software and now my z axis has only one direction. When I jog it only goes down, no matter if I press page up or page down. Any ideas why? I'm using a Xylotex 3 axis driver.
    Thanks.

sounds like something on the board blew, you said it was working before?what were you doing before it started acting up?check the step and direction wires for the z axis,if they are backwards i think it will act like that, but i think its the board

how is your motor power setup, with a xylotex board, you cant shut off power to the motor if the board is still on and recieving full power,it will blow something on the board, you have to kill the supply power off first, some people have e stops for the motors, but the board still gets full power threw it,not good, you didnt kill power to the motors first?just a thought
