When you use the M06 command, one pin on the parallel port will go high for a specific amount of time (which you can set under general config). This happens every time you use the M06 command, and there is no change in the signal wather you type M06 T01 or M06 T03. The signal remains the same, so when you are going to use the turret, you will have to place the tools in perfect order, so that when you are done with one tool, you just go on to the next in row. You can ofcourse use several M06 commands to reach the tool you want, and the T03 only loads in the new length of the tool.

You can use this to control a single relay which in turn controls an automated operation that drives the pistons. I have made such a schematic, but its way to complicated at the moment, and I don't know if it will work because I havn't tested it yet. The ATC is last in line of projects that I'm working on right now.

The maker of TCNC intends to improve this feature so that the M06 command puts out as many pulses as the tool nr. So T03 would give 3 pulses, and T10 would give out 10 pulses, but this has not been done yet.
