Converted Series 1 Bridgeport Z - Home

This may have already been posted and answered numerous times but, I have searched through the posts and didn't seem to find an answer to my specific question.

For a retrofitted Series 1 Bridgeport with a Z axis deaccel and limit/home (upper travel) switches, has anyone addressed the Turbo code to allow the Z axis homing to replicate that of the original BP control? In other words, is there a away to have the machine rapid to the deaccel switch then limit/home at a slower rate?

Specifically, I would like this happen in 2 instances. One when sending the Z home to establish "0" for setting TLO and again each time a tool change command is called.

Thank you in advance for any replies.

Tracy

Tracy,
I implemented a version that will allow you to set the feed rate going to home. EG, G28 Z0 F100 will send the Z axis to home at a rate of 100 IPM and then the backing off of the switch is controlled by the default value in the configuration file.

It can be downloaded from the yahoo group file section of the TCNC group.

Thanks for the info but I had already looked at the files section at Yahoo and reviewed that one as well as several others and they really didn't seem to fit my op.

I enjoy the functionality of the BP setup with respect to the Z axis homing and tool change function. It also brings the axis to home position on program end.

I'm sure I can work around it or dig into the code and write it so it'll work like I want it I just didn't want to redo something that may have already been addressed.

Thank you.
