    Setting up TurboCNC

    Hi there,

I've looked around for information about setting TCNC up, but I can't find too much. I need help with the start speed, acceleration and max speed. I searched on here for past threads, and saw that there is some kind of software on the Yahoo TCNC group in the files section that helps with the setup. I cannot find that file.

How do I find the optimum settings for my setup and what would a good starting point be for the above values? Can I hurt anything by putting in values that are 'wrong'?

I'm using a Xylotex unipolar board that will be running 1/8th microstepping and 2mm pitch leadscrews.

    Thanks
    Warren
    Have a nice day...

Hi Warren, Have a look at post #45. I didn't write it but thought I would store the procedure as part of my build log because it worked for me.
