Tree 1260 EZ Project

Hello All,

Just received delivery on a new project machine. A Tree 1260EZ, Wow what a well built machine. Attached are pictures of the machine. And I will post pictures as I rebuild the machine. I hope to save the 2100 control the rest of the project will include bearings for the Spindle , x and y axis and some new sheet metal. On first inspection I have to say that this is a well built machine.

Basic specs

Cat 50 Spindle
Dual 16 tool changer
2100 Control,
Yaskawa motors and Drive
TSC, Box ways

Built like a tank, but wait till you see how much those axis bearings are ! And they are supposed to be fit to the ballscrew for preload. Those machines will cut anything though.

ZPS Tree Update

After some missing parts problems. Why would anyone take the o rings out of a pressure gauge and then put it back together without them?

In spite of missing parts and a few minor problems the 1260 is up and moving. Still have a lot of cleaning to do and some adjusting. But it is moving.

A special thanks to Bob at ZPS for getting the hard drive brought back to life. Anyone who has A 2100 or a Tree ZPS mill he is the man. Also thanks to another Forum member Peter from Canada. he helped me find the right places to look and figure what the problems were. Thanks

More pictures are coming but I have to say this ZPS machine is really sweet.
