Tree J425 Help and Looking for Schematics

I have a 1997 Tree J425 with the Vickers Acramatic controls.

Its been working well for me until today - I just got the following alarm which has stopped the machine dead in its tracks. I can't even jog the axis.

Alarm 90-4
Cause: Coolant motor overload protection has tripped.
Remedy: Reset motor overload, check motor current.

Would this be the spindle motor or the cutting fluid coolant motor?

Also, would anybody have any electrical schematics for a similar machine they would be willing to scan and email or point me to a link? I know its probably a long shot...

Thanks in advance,
Mike

J425

Coolant pump motor overload relay has tripped. Press re-set on the relay and clear the alarm.

Any ideas why it would overload while not being used?

425

If your sure you didn't turn it on briefly, then you may have lost power through the 24VDC circuit running through the overload relay for the alarm circuit, or just the contacts on the overload went bad. You can manually trip it and re-set it and see if it comes back up.

I found the M8 code in my program which toggled the pump on.

Good news was that there must be some kind of thermal overload protection as the alarm was cleared this morning when I started up the machine.

I couldn't find any reset-able relay. After tracing the wires I found what looks like a home brew Triac driving the pump...it might be a 3 phase pump motor with U V W connections. Don't know about the voltage as I didn't want to poke around in the cabinet after seeing that the machine was working again.
