I now have my 325 operational. I have cut some chips and find that I need to start adjusting. I have 0.004" backlash on the Y axis and 0.0015 on the X. I haven't measured Z yet but thought I'd start with x and Y. Is the adjustment for z similar? So where do I start? Kind of a general question but is there a good resource to read about the process - ist there one specificsally for the Tree 325? Thanks, Bill |

| If you have that kind of backlash and nothing is loose then the balls in the ballscrew or5 the ballscrew is worn. I would check the backlash about every 2 " to determine it if is the ballscrew or the ballscrew. You can buy over size balls on ebay for a decent price. |
