Refreence zero/ Homing problems

I have a Lagunamatic 310 with a Dyanapath 20 controller I am having problems with. I apologize if this is the wrong forum but wanted to ask experienced Dynapath operators what I was doing wrong.

I am finally to the point where I can get the machine to power up and see a display. After the diagnostics check in the begining the "fault or message" screen flashes when I hit the fault/ status key I get the following:
X axis Not Reference Zeroed
y axis Not Reference Zeroed
z axis Not Reference Zeroed
G00 Interpolation Type
G09 Acc-Dec is on/off
G17 Plane Select
G40 Cutter Comp Status
G70 Inch/ Met
G90 Absolute/ Incremental
Optional Handstop is off
Block Delete Off

I first tried to reference the axis. The procedure outlined in the Lagun manual didn't seem to work (never ran autoreference cycle) neither did the one in the controller manual, the machine moves past the microswitches, causing me to hit the e-stop. While jogging the screen displays postion changes so I am guessing the motors/encoders are good.

Any suggestions where to start? I am not sure that I am even using the correct procedure (syntax) as the Dynapath manual seems a little vague.

Thanks,

Have you jogged the axis way off the limits and tried. x,y,and z. Should be if my memory serves me correct it has been a long long time. But mode select jog or reference machine one or the other. then cycle start and it should automatically do this.

No pun intended, but this method seems too easy. I hope it is as easy though.

I know on the trees with dynapaths that is all that is required. But i can't remember for sure without it in front of me how the lagunamatic works i think it was the same. Just a place to start not trying to be a jerk. If it doesn't reference automatically and it jogs and hits the hard overs then i would definitely say you have a problem with something else. I am remembering on some of them you have to do the z axis first and be in reference mode and move away from home and then towards. Then the other axis in the same way.

So when you tried the proceedure outlined in the manual you said it didn't work did it move at all or did it move and hit the overlimits??
