i have a vmc 840 tree mill, and while i was doing no machining at all i got a spindle overloaded alarm. i am able to cancel out the alarm, but when i attempt to start the spindle (either direction or speed) i get the same alarm over and over again. ive tried to shut the power off and reset everything but nothing seems to help. HELP!! |

| I have a Tree Journeyman that had a similar problem. The issue turned out to be the spindle current overload relay in the power cabinet. The relay basically works as an overtemperature switch. Physically its a little copper strip embedded within the relay that when heated eventually opens the spindle circuit. If there's a similar part on your machine, you might want to have someone take a look at it. |
