Hello All- Could someone give me some pointers on removing the table from a Tree Journeyman mill? I need to take the table off, along with the control panel, to move the mill through a door way. I'm planning on leaving the knee in place. It looks as though if I removed the bracket that holds the Y-Axis ball screw nut onto the table, then I could lift the table off the knee. Any ideas? | Just an idea, but I moved a Bridgeport through a regular doorway once by cranking the table all the way to one side then angling the mill partially through. Then I cranked the table to the other side and was able to get it the rest of the way through. Might not work for you, but it sure was easier than removing the table. |

| Good idea. I would have tried that, but the pad I had to rest the mill on wasn't very large. I ended up having to remove the table, the control cabinet and the head. But..I finally managed to move it through the door last night. To remove the table, I undid the two screws holding the ball nut to the table, removed the gib key, ball screw/bearing brackets and then slide the mill table off onto an adjacent card table. |
