| first problem right off the bat I Need some help. Im very new with milling machines. Purchased aTree 2UVR from Reliable Tools on ebay. Paid 1100.00. After reading and understanding the manual regarding the quick change collett & tool mechanism, I think I have a problem. Engage yolk & pull handle, but nothing. very very tight. Almost like a built in mechanical stop. I do not want to break the handle. Machine looks like it just came out of service.very well lubricated, tool in collett, fresh chips etc. Beautiful fascinating machine. Almost a candidate for complete restoration. also got a reccomendation for a VFD SJ200-022NFU, quoted at 350.00. seems a little pricey. this is my first post. expertise and advice is appreciated, even if its the simplest of information. thank you |

| If the knurled nut on the collet was over tightened before closing the collet, it can take a fair amount of force on the handle to get it to release. Especially if it sat for a long time and was able to squeeze the oil out of the mating parts. I can't help you out on the VFD.
