Need help with text

Hi I have a tree 1260 vmc with Dyna path 30..my problem is when I try to write text the machine won't let me. I'm not sure if u have to do like a position (0) before u do a (t) code or what? I think I'm just missing something but not sure what? Also how does it know what size to make it or is it just set or something??

The text event:

Example:
N0010 (T) This is a comment

is used to place comments or instructions into the part program. A text event is not used to make any machine movement. It sounds like you are trying to do engraving.
