Tree J300 Mill - Z Axis Ball Screw Bearing Housing

I have an old Tree Journeyman 300. I guess the 300 is a rare model because there seems to be only about a half dozen people on the entire internet who make any mention of having a J300. I am removing the Z axis ball screw and am stuck. I cannot figure out how to get the top bearing housing off. It is pinned in two locations and fastened in 6. There are typically two tapped holes where a bolt could be used to press the housing up. I cannot get to the ball nut to remove it from the "quill connector" if I cannot remove this housing. I removed the bottom housing which had the two aforementioned tapped holes. Any ideas?

This link offered a copy of the maint manual if that helps at all. Dunno if the user is still on line with us though.
